- 2.A reader can understand it and act on it in under 60 seconds.
- 3.Plain words at about a 5th grade reading level. No jargon. If a term is needed, explain it in five words or fewer.
- 4.A title of 8 words or fewer, in the words your customer uses for the problem, not the words your business would use.
- 5.A subtitle of 15 words or fewer.
- 6.Five to 7 items. Each one is 20 words or fewer and starts with a verb. Each one is something the reader can do today.
- 7.One call to action at the bottom, with your business name, phone, website, and what to do next.
- 8.Something useful even if the reader never calls you. If the only one who benefits is your business, rewrite it.
